Our client, a large retail organisation based in County Durham, is looking for a Marketing Automation Executive to join their team. The main responsibility of this position will be to drive the marketing automotive strategy across all communication channels in order to drive sales and profit by creating customer journeys that are timely, targeted and reactive, and build relationships by introducing the brand and their products and services.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Manage the setup and ongoing maintenance of the marketing automation platform, multi-channel campaign planning and promotional calendar
- Manage marketing automation activity and processes, proactively researching and implementing the latest best practices, strategies and industry standards
- Develop and drive automated marketing campaigns for new and established customers, by creating personalised customer journey’s depending on life cycle, buying behaviour and preferred communication channel
- Identify data variables and create audience segments to meet the campaign objectives, ensuring the communication is timely and relevant to drive the desired outcomes
- Maintain and iteratively improve campaigns, by reviewing segmentation, look and feel and product offering using test and learn to improve overall performance
- Understand and evaluate campaign performance and identify opportunities for growth
- Support essential marketing operations such as managing the lead lifecycle, lead nurturing, segmentation, and data cleansing
- Work with key stakeholders to define KPIs, create reporting and analyse campaign performance

Essential skills:
- Minimum 2 – 3 years of CRM experience
- Strong experience with automated platforms for multi-channel campaign planning, implementation and evaluation
- Strong analytical skills – campaign tracking, performance monitoring, reporting, analysis and identifying opportunities
- An understanding of what delivers a successful automated campaign
- Ideally proven knowledge of using audience segments to power marketing
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
